Florentine beacon of excellence, Stefano Bemer shoemakers, will host a new edition of the
Masters of Craftsmanship event, during the next edition of PITTI UOMO in Florence. On June 11th, at Bemer’s stunning atelier and HQ in Via San Niccolo 2, the host Tommaso Melani and curators of the event, Alex Dordevic of DeGorsi Luxury Consulting and Giansandro Cantori of BeSpoke The Chic&Cool magazine, will welcome a roster of crème de la crème artisans and the finest luxury artisanal brands, who will impress the audience during the live workshop, allowing guests to get a glimpse into the world of renowned Hand Made in Italy.
Participating artisans will be spearheaded by Stefano Bemer, iconic Florentine shoemakers and tailors, Maison Siniscalchi, mavens of Milanese shirt-making, Sartoria Voglio Napoli – fourth generation Neapolitan trouser-makers, luxurious Viola Milano accessories, Neapolitan masters Gala Gloves, lauded Milanese ’nose’ Cerizza 1946 Milano bespoke perfumers, Lanificio Corrado exclusive cloth-makers, FH helmets etc. After the showcase presentations, we will mingle sipping fine cocktails, concocted by Black Tie spirits with their selection of rums, gins and legendary Perrier Jouet champagne.
We will embark on a journey through the history of perfume, which dates back to 3000 BC. with a sacred function. In the Middle Ages, it began to be used for the care and beauty of the body. the big turning point came in 1882 with the advent of synthetic products which gave the perfume the so-called “abstract note”. The first perfume created using these synthetic materials was created by the famous nose Ernst Beau in 1921, followed by all the most important fashion brands in the following years. In 1990 the first true niche perfumery was born in Bologna, followed by Rome, Milan and the rest of Italy. The consumer is becoming increasingly demanding and informed about the world of perfumes. From here comes the desire to want something unique and personal. The tailor-made perfume responds to this desire.
Tommaso, Alexander, and I have decided to organize this appointment with style on the occasion of Pitti Uomo summer calling it Masters of Craftsmanship event, an event for all lovers of beauty, good living, taste and quality of the artefact, because true luxury it is the quality with which the products are produced, a common thread that unwinds from the Italian artisan workshops to reach the maisons of Faubourg Saint Honorè, Burlington Arcade, Montenapoleone. True luxury is the time that a product needs to be built by skilled artisan hands, so that it becomes an iconic product and can express itself in all its beauty
Because I have always believed that beauty will save the world even in dark times like these, where very often the uniqueness of a creation struggles to be recognized by everyone. For this reason we have decided to give space to stories of know-how and lifestyle, having them told by the creators of the products themselves.
