    Spring-Summer 2025 KNT Tennis Capsule

The intellectual aura of the artistic Grand Tour of the 18th and 19th centuries meets that of elite.

sport. With KNT, an acronym for Kiton New Textures, founded in 2018 as the experimental soul of the group and the brainchild of twins Mariano and Walter De Matteis, the third generation of the family, the Kiton universe launches ‘A Grand Journey’, a trip both ideal and real that takes the brand, based in Arzano, a town outside Naples, that has become a worldwide symbol of ‘100% Made in Italy’ manufacturing excellence, on a tour around Europe. Through venues related to tennis and places that are part of its roots, the eponymous capsule collection embodies the sophistication of one of the disciplines with the most elegant iconography.

A tour that begins at the Foro Italico in Rome for the Italian Open, passes through Paris with the French Open known as Roland Garros, stops off at the Amalfi Coast and Capri, and ends at the most exclusive tennis club and tournament in the world, Wimbledon in London. Understated with a slim fit in the style of the 1970s when technological exasperation was minimal and players wore cotton polo shirts and shorts, the capsule collection offers up a luxury version of everything.

Creative flair blends the athletes’ uniforms, consisting of T-shirts as well as long-sleeved and short-sleeved polo shirts, both solid colour and with two-tone horizontal stripes, and shorts, with the looks of the umpires and line judges: unlined blazers in cool wool with the all-new stylised ball emblem with the three letters KNT on the breast pocket, waistcoats with braids, cardigans and Bermuda shorts, with the addition of the odd clubhouse detail such as the varsity jacket. Not forgetting the cap with visor, also featuring the crest.

The collection is dominated by superior cotton knitwear, with polo shirts and T-shirts in cool piqué fabric, perfect for summer. Last but not least, the colour palette is precise and decidedly tennis appropriate: optical white, ocean blue and lawn green.
