I was 19 when my grandfather Rinaldo told me he had known Claudio Tridenti Pozzi, Knight of the Order of Merit for Labour, for Milan rather, and to have found the right solution fir building the tower loft… of his Castle… in Milan… in Via Brin…

My famous and eponymous relation was a friend of Salvatore Quasimodo, Giorgio La Pira, and Giuffre the publisher. They were of the same age and, at 16, had been abandoned and left alone; they met and shared a miserable shack after the earthquake that devastated the city of Messina at the beginning of the last century. Still friends even after technical college and university, they showed themselves to be courageous men and left tangible signs of their work…!
At 93 years of age, Rinaldo senior, saddened by the knowledge of having by now reached the end of his Life but, happy to see me determined (even though I was so young) to honour his line, said to me…. Hurry to Milan and buy Castello Pozzi; that place is magical and when it is yours you will be able to do great things…”:

It was sheer madness at the time to even think of it; .. it was difficult for me even to fill the tank of my second-hand Fiat Uno, but I went to Milan all the same and, as soon as I saw Castello Pozzi, I understood… there really was something magical about.

I was born the same day, month, and year as the death of Cavaliere Claudio Tridenti Pozzi; to be exact, I was born two minutes after he died; the physical resemblance between the two of us is embarrassing, and the handwriting expertise I had asked from a specialist leaves no doubt about something I consider “magical” and that perhaps my grandfather, by then near his end, had intuited.

The real magic is that in 22 years I have managed to materialize my grandfather’s idea, and … now I am ready to undertake my mission: to bring the Pozzi brand back to its past splendour; … isn’t it perhaps the oldest brand in Italian history…!???
Pozzi Milano 1876 is a brand historically linked to the world of Italian fashion.
It was founded by Felice Pozzi in Milan at the end of the 19th Century as a men’s haute couture shop and established itself in the 1930s thanks to the entrepreneurial vision and talent of Claudio Tridenti, Felice Pozzi’ son-in-law. Pozzi’s clothes and accessories imposed a highly refined style that became a benchmark in terms of exclusivity and elegance in the world of men’s fashion.

Always in search of the highest quality, Claudio Tridenti Pozzi made agreements with the most prestigious fabric manufacturers and, for footwear, with the already famous Burberry and Church’s. Thanks to the fruitful collaboration and professionalism of the best Italian craftsmen, he was able to express his talent as a stylist by designing and producing unique collections of clothes and accessories.

The deep connection with the world of art and culture was always a great inspiration for Claudio Tridenti Pozzi and became a central element for the brand, culminating in the construction, in 1929, of Castello Pozzi in Milan, which is still the brand’ showroom today.

The brand is closely linked to the place where everything came to life at the beginning of the 20th Century: Castello Pozzi. A place that has never ceased to live and is now not only the brand’ showroom but also a museum appreciated as a reference point of art and culture for the city of Milan. The rebirth of the Pozzi Milano 1876 brand starts today from Castello Pozzi.
The building was built in 1929 to a design by one of the most famous architects of the time, Livio Cossutti, on behalf of the Cavaliere del Lavoro Claudio Tridenti Pozzi. Castello Pozzi is a symbolic place in the history of Italian fashion. Today it has returned to prominence in the city’s cultural and artistic scene thanks to the work of Rinaldo Denti, the current owner. It currently houses a private collection of works of art. Castello Pozzi is located in Milan in Viale Berengario 8, in the heart of the elegant CityLife district.

Today, Pozzi Milano 1876 project wants to give continuity not only to the style but also to the entrepreneurial idea with which Claudio Tridenti Pozzi, in the 20th Century, created what can be defined to all effects as a fashion brand. The aim is to re-launch the Pozzi Milano 1876 brand on an international level while remaining faithful to the brand’s historical values: style, Italian character, craftsmanship, excellence, innovation and a link with art.
The 31 Collection

These premium materials lend the accessories a timeless elegance, making each piece a wearable work of art to be worn with pride.

Pozzi Milano 1876’s commitment to excellence begins with the meticulous selection of the finest Italian leather, skillfully crafted by artisans in Lombardy.

A cornerstone of Pozzi Milano 1876’s philosophy is its appreciation for the rich heritage and expertise of Lombard artisans, who have honed their leatherworking skills over generations. Sustainability is central to Pozzi Milano 1876’s production approach.

The leathers used are sourced exclusively from cattle raised for meat, ensuring responsible resource management. Additionally, every production residue is repurposed: leather scraps from larger items are used to create smaller products.

This circular approach not only reduces waste but also enables the creation of unique, sustainable accessories, embodying Pozzi Milano 1876’s dedication to ethical and responsible fashion.
